Who we are:

Horringer Pre-School is a popular village Pre-School that has been a much-loved part of the local community for over twenty years.

Our location, in the pretty village of Horringer, is within easy reach of Bury St Edmunds town, and surrounding villages (Whepstead, Risby, Barrow, Chedburgh, Chevington, Great Saxham, Little Saxham, and beyond).

We are open every weekday during term-time from 8.45am to 3.30pm, and offer morning and afternoon sessions, plus a Lunch Club. You have complete flexibility (spaces permitting) as to when and how often you would like your child to join us – although we do recommend a minimum of two sessions a week to help your child settle in well.

What we do

Our priority is to provide a safe, enjoyable and nurturing environment where your child feels happy, stimulated and cared for.

As a Pre-School, we are more than just nursery-based childcare: our aim is to help your child learn, build confidence, and develop their skills, while having as much fun as possible.

Our dedicated and friendly staff support your child’s individual needs, ensuring that they settle in well, and enjoy every minute of their time with us.

To achieve this, we provide a creative and varied range of activities throughout the day, both child-led and adult-led, with weekly topics (eg “the zoo”or “changes”). Plus your child will also have free access to a wide range of equipment and toys for more fun, independent learning.

And the outdoors is as important as the indoors: our exciting purpose-built garden, with a large sand pit and mud kitchen, and very own private wooded copse, provide amazing opportunities for fresh air, fun and learning. Our links with Ickworth Park Primary School mean we have regular access to their playground and playing field with climbing equipment.
