Our Committee
Our preschool is a registered not-for-profit charity, run by qualified staff and supported by a dedicated team of current and former parent volunteers — our Committee. Everything we do is for the benefit of the children in our care.
Our Committee has two main roles:
- Ensuring the Pre-School runs smoothly and safely, following all relevant legislation — from health and safety to staff management and financial reporting to the Charity Commission.
- Fundraising to help us maintain and improve our facilities, giving our children the best possible environment to learn and play.
Our top priority is always the same: to make sure every child is happy, safe, and learning through play.
As a registered charity, we rely on the income from our fees and fundraising to cover our running costs. This year, for example, our fundraising efforts went towards laying a brand-new wet pour surface in the garden — creating a safer and more inviting outdoor space for the children to enjoy.
The preschool simply couldn’t exist without the wonderful parents who volunteer on our Committee. Their time and effort are vital to keeping us going!
We’re always looking for new members to join our fun, friendly, and proactive team. If you’d like to get involved — either by joining the Committee or helping out with events — we’d love to hear from you.
