Covid 19 – Keeping children safe and happy

Your child’s safety and happiness are our top priorities and in these unprecedented times we have put extra wellbeing and hygiene measures in place to ensure both staff and children are kept safe and well. In this article we invite you inside our new building and show you the new measures we have implemented into our daily routines….

Drop off/pick up

We ask that parents or carers wear a mask at drop off time and pick up and socially distance.

At drop off time you will be greeted with a smile by one of the friendly members of our team wearing full PPE. Your child is taken to drop off their coat and bag and then it is on to the hand washing station. Staff are highly experienced in using different child-friendly communication strategies to help the children feel relaxed and develop an awareness of their own wellbeing and that of others around them.

Hygiene

At the handwashing station we wash our hands for 20 seconds with soap and warm water. We try and make this as fun as possible for the children by singing songs while washing! Staff promote good hygiene throughout the day especially around meal and snack times and we have a enhanced cleaning schedule.

Ventilation and outdoor play

Windows are kept open to make sure the building is constantly well ventilated and we play outside for as much as possible. Luckily we have a fantastic private copse area that is perfect for exploring and enjoying the fresh air. Children love being able to learn and explore in nature, in a safe, sheltered space.
